Overview

Brian Burt, an artist living in Ohio, uses traditional techniques to create stunningly realistic oil paintings. His goal is simply to be a “painter of what I see,” often using humor in his work. His subject matter includes cocktails and desserts sometimes mixed with surprising items like billiard balls and he occasionally dabbles in alla prima paintings.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University and served a three-year apprenticeship at The Atelier School of Fine Arts. Cooking, baking, and gardening are all passions that he uses to both feed his family and his artistic inspiration.

Brian is a published and award-winning artist whose works have been exhibited throughout the United States. He strives, in his paintings, “to take something benign and forgettable and … make you see that object in a brand-new way.”
